The Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI) is the most powerful lobbying firm in the state. Three weeks ago, IACI President Alex LaBeau was caught sending a vulgar email after a Senator said he prioritized education funding over tax cuts for wealthy corporations.

Better Idaho asked for comment from 37 members of the IACI board of directors.

Only two responded.

We’re not satisfied.

The truth will set you free.

This is Operation IACI Freedom.

SAMC_HealthSystm_Logo_cmyk“Saint Alphonsus engages in public policy dialogue through a number of community organizations, one of which is the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI).  To advance our mission of healing and create a healthier population in Idaho, we look to address social determinants of health such as access to care, education, and transportation by educating and advocating for sound policies around these important issues.  While we do not always agree fully with the policy positions these organizations reach, we appreciate the opportunity and recognize the importance of being involved in the policy dialogue” — Josh Schlaich, Media Coordinator
