This type of regressive tax scheme looks like something we should fix.

Unfortunately, a recent proposal from Gov. Otter to reduce the top personal income rate from 7.4% to 6.9% would only make matters worse.

Not only would it cut $77 million from state revenues (good luck restoring education funding), but it would also put an even greater burden on the people who can least afford it.
